Spring Philanthropy Event
Compete for a Cause
Compete for a Cause was founded in the Spring of 2010 under the name "Compete for a Cure". The event was created in honor of an alumni whose mother had lost her battle with cancer. For the first six years of the event, actives gathered each Spring to raise money for The Pam Stern Legacy of Hope Foundation, where proceeds exceeded over $100,000.
After raising $100,000 in our first six years hosting an annual competition day with all proceeds going to The Pam Stern Legacy of Hope Foundation, we began to realize that our impact can travel way beyond just one foundation to help many. Starting in 2016, our Compete for a Cause tournament began to target new foundations near and dear to our members' hearts. We have been able to expand our knowledge and dedication to a wide variety of foundations throughout the years.

Mr. Business (or Mr. Biz) is a fall philanthropy event geared towards raising money for the Boys and Girls Club of Champaign. As part of the fundraiser, all business frats will elect one or two senior male active members to partake in a talent show to crown a winner each year.
